Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the Paysipa hosted-checkout service, operated by [to be completed], [to be completed] ("Paysipa", "we", "us"). By creating a merchant account you agree to these Terms.

The service

Paysipa lets a merchant accept payments through a hosted checkout page backed by Stripe Connect. Paysipa creates charges directly on the merchant's own connected Stripe account; Paysipa never takes custody of merchant funds and receives only its application fee, as shown in your dashboard.

Test and live mode

Every merchant account has a test mode, using simulated payment methods, and a live mode, which moves real money once your connected account is enabled. Actions taken in test mode never affect real funds or real customers.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, including API keys you generate.

Fees

Paysipa's application fee for each successful charge is disclosed in your dashboard before you switch to live mode. We will give notice before changing our fees for existing merchants.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your relationship with your own customers, including the goods or services you sell, your own refund policy, and your compliance with the laws that apply to your business. You must not use Paysipa for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that violates Stripe's own terms of service.

Data protection

Our [Privacy Policy](/en/legal/privacy) explains what data we process and why. Processing payment data through Stripe is also governed by Stripe's own terms.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded; nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under German law.

Term and termination

Either party may terminate the account relationship at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or exposes Paysipa or its customers to legal or financial risk.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by German law. The courts at our registered seat have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules provide otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The version you accepted at signup is recorded on your account; a later change takes effect for existing merchants once shown in the dashboard.
